Now you're going to draw a subjective picture of what "exists" means I suppose?

sure, exitence can mean anything, i mean one finger can exist if i'm paying attention to it, but then the others fade away and don't exist. was that good?

I think you're confusing perception with reality.

i'm not. there are no conflicts within reality. there is only one reality. there is only one true reality. reality is what it is.

Well WHEN?When is this reality what it is?That must mean NOW! I suppose. Some of those stars you see in the night sky have ceased to exist. Then this reality is what it was.

I think that's how a philosopher would think about things like reality and existence. If he didn't he might end up talking about the breakfast pots.Which is fair enough on the Breakfast Pots thread/s.

you're just asking, at what time are you looking at reality. thats it. pick a time, and look at it. "now" is subjective and loosely defined, so you'd need to be more precise.

I can only be "precise" by positing the infinitessimal moment which has gone.Reality goes with it.Our perception is behind it theoretically and our thought a distant third.

perception is irrlevant. and the other two things you mentioned. cause you need to study it, then you have enough time to see it clearly and properly, select a defifitive segment in time, and study it. temporary conditions or "now" is irrelevant. you can look at it from the future and have as much time as you watn.

You've lost me there.

How can perception be irrelevant when it is perception which underly these posts and which we use to think about reality.Reality can be without perception perceiving it of course.

How would you look at it from the future?
