President's Dwindling Popularity

CNN is reporting, that Pres.George W.Bush's popularity has dipped below 50%.
Its a record low for a wartime president.
Should he not concentrate more on the issues that are extremely important for the nation?
I think, that all this war rhetoric is just plain silly and he will lose the elections in 2004!
As most of the world, I am not sure about this administration's motives to oust Saddam.

It is a little soon to count the president out. Public opinion shifts with each wind that blows. I recall that during the election of 1968 each time Humphrey rose in the polls Nixon and the S. Vietanese leader had it orchestrated so that the war news became more dire thus pushing Nixon higher. You just never know what an election will turn on.

edgar, hello.
I understand what you just posted.
But the problems facing the US and the UK are not going to dwindle away in a matter of months.
I am prepared to wager, that Blair will be ousted. A revolt in the Labour party might do it earlier.
Bush is history as well.
The economy is in tatters. No money to make more tax cuts. War and war and war! People are concerened.
I will definitely throw my two cents later.
Have a nice day and a great weekend !

I desperately want Bush out. But, I have seen too many disappointments to let my personal feelings color my assessment of the future. Blair, I do count out. With his voice silenced it will help our cause here in the USA.

wolf - that's a pretty extreme site.

When state school systems start taking weeks off their school years and parents have to figure out what to do with their children for that many more weeks.... well, suddenly a war in Iraq might not sound like such a good idea.

Extreme, why?

The founder is a perfectly legitimate reporter: http://www.fair.org/extra/writers/cohen.html

Phil Donahue didn't get fired for his blue eyes, I guess. Just didn't want to spend his life as a government's puppet.
