@mysteryman,
Those shells were listed as existing and under control of the inspectors.

@mysteryman,
Which was what the U.N. inspectors were trying to do when Bush kicked them out of Iraq!

@parados,
No, they werent.

We found them in an old warehouse, that had been used as an enemy outpost.
Nobody knew about them till we found them, according to our CO.

@mysteryman,
There are also WMDs in many unfriendly countries that are established facts and not just somebody's opinion.

@cicerone imposter,
And as long as they arent used, there is no problem.

You do seem to havd forgotten that Saddam had actually used WMD's.
He used them against his own people, and he used them against Iranian troops during their war.

When someone has an established record of using them, and then threatens to use them again, you cannot afford to take that threat lightly.
You must take it seriously and act appropriately.

@mysteryman,
No, we did not forget that Saddam used WMDs. The US used the worst kind of WMDs, nukes in Japan. I'm not saying that was wrong during WWII, but your argument about Saddam's WMDs is wrong. Saddam destroyed his after the first Gulf War. That's the reason nothing could be found when GW Bush started his second war in Iraq.

I guess it has as much to do with the economy as your asking POM for an apology does.

DID you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it?
That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home etc.

SALES TAX TO GO INTO EFFECT 2013 (Part of HC Bill)
REAL ESTATE SALES TAX

Under the new health care bill - did you know that all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% Sales Tax?
The bulk of these new taxes don't kick in until 2013 If you sell your $400,000 home, there will be a $15,200 tax.
This bill is set to screw the retiring generation who often downsize their homes.

Oh, you weren't aware this was in the obama-care bill? Guess what, you aren't alone.
There are more than a few members of Congress that aren't aware of it either.

Check it out at the link below.

Try this..

Clearly no one will be paying $15,200 in taxes on a home sold for $400,000.

@parados,
I love how these idiots don't even bother to do the most basic fact-checking before bringing stuff here. It seems like they NEVER check their facts before posting.

@Cycloptichorn,
It turns out is an official site of the Republican Majority in Congress that is promoting those lies.

Can't we start to hold them accountable for truth?

Their entire electoral strategy is to lie as much as possible, as often as possible, and never once admit that they were lying, no matter how often the truth is pointed out to them.

@Cycloptichorn,
That's the conservative way; they never admit their lies, but repeat them with abandon. okie is a good example of the conservative way; he even has the chutzpah to ask us to look for his lies. When we cut and paste them; he ignores us.

Yeah. I'm dead serious about this - you can't find an issue that prominent Republicans, both elected and in the media, don't constantly lie about.

You may be serious, but are you sure? The very obvious truth is that you don't really know, though your steady bombast doesn't acknowledge that. Perhaps you would care to offer some of your often promised but rarely delivered (and even then usually insufficient) "proofs"?

Yes - I'm sure. I spend more time reading and thinking about this than pretty much anyone I know, and it's been my long and constant experience that there isn't an issue that Republicans aren't willing to boldly lie about. I think you could pick ANY modern issue you wanted and I could find you a multitude of statements, probably recent ones, which are totally incorrect.

No - I do know. Your personal disagreement has nothing to do with my knowledge on this matter.

Laughing You sure you want to go down this road, George?

Pick a topic and I'll show you the repeated pattern of lies. I don't have anywhere near the time to go into all of them, so let's narrow the scope a bit. Do yourself a favor and pick the topic you think they were least likely to lie about.
