At least you all have a place to come and talk about these issues where as before you were not able to share your minds in as much detail because you would have fighting in the street

Rasmussen was out with a poll (12/28 1,000 LV) asking as he has since May, 2009, who is responsible for the economic mess.
The most recent numbers are Bush: 50% vs Obama: 42%.
In May, 2009, the divide was Bush: 62% vs Obama: 27%.
Feel free to visit Rasmussen's site for monthly results as well as the phrasing of the questions.

@realjohnboy,
The polls only show how ignorant the voters are. When GW Bush got this country and the world into a Great Recession, it impacted many people's incomes that reduced tax revenues, and increased government spending.

Nobody is capable of turning this kind of Great Recession into positive economic activity in two years when the whole world economy is in recession. Blaming Obama for this is total ignorance. Most financial experts tell us that TARP and the stim program reduced the further deterioration of our economy, and I agree with that analysis.

I'd like to see anybody who thinks Obama is to blame for this economy to provide us with solutions they think will work.

Any takers?

No, the results of the last presidential election show how ignorant the voters are.

I propose an amendment to the Constitution. In 2012, anyone wanting to vote must prove they are smarter than H2O MAN.

That's cool as long as they don't use any federal funds.

Then, I assume you will join the work crews who will assemble the lines, in the same way that your ancestors in the Middle Ages worked on roads when there was no centralized government.

Of course, the federal government will be needed: to adequately serve the population, those new rail lines will have to cross state boundaries.

@georgeob1,
Actually, a very large savings. Money has to be invested to move ahead. In this case, to stay where we are without slipping into THird World status.

Our laws allow us to be a litigious society, there is no good reason to have a high percentage of the cases currently jamming our courts in our courts, we have the power to be rid of them. See the rape thread for some examples. You and Firefly both act like our laws are handed down by God and that we have nothing to say about them.

@realjohnboy,
Is 11 minutes of a different point of view to much to ask in order to expand one's frame of reference? Many people spend much more time with sports and the so forth!
