@ican711nm,
Would you stop writing, "leftist liberals" and "rightwing conservatives?" Redundancy does not make your posts more palatable or make you appear more intelligent.

@okie,
Nixon was a crook. While one liberal friend of mine thinks Ford did the right thing and that a trial of Nixon would have been bad for the country, I thoroughly disagree.

Trying richard nixon might have brought real change for the better to America, particularly as it would have come at a time when liberals were feeling strong, having forced the nation out of Vietnam and with feminism riding high.

We would have stood strong in the eyes of the world.

Yep, and then he accuses others of misrepresenting what he says when we cut and paste his own words and present them back to him on a platter.

An apology or you can shut up, pom. I am sick of your insults. If you have no better intellect than accusing others of racism, you are one pathetic individual, and I mean that. And what you just said about Sarah Palin is not flattering of you as a person, pom.

@ican711nm,
1. No because the Constitution does not list that as reason for impeachment.

2. No because the power to tax is NOT only in Art 1 Section 8.

3. No because the GOP passed a bill already that was signed by a GOP President.

4. Since you are listing items that aren't expenditures, I don't agree because you make no sense ican.

5. Obama has done more than GW Bush did. How do you propose to close them ican so that NO illegals can get across? It can't be done.

6. No.

7. No that violates the Constitution

8. That doesn't even make sense ican?
How do you propose to turn SS into a tax exemption?

9. Again you violate the Constitution ican.

10. That violated the Constitution ican

So.. you want others to agree with you when you violate the Constitution? I think we can all see how much you hate the Constitution ican. Why do you hate your country so much?

I see you still won't admit that impeaching Obama for ican's reasons would violate the Constitution okie.

Why do you ignore the Constitution okie? DO you hate it that much that you won't stand up for it?

You have in fact misrepresented what I have said. I have challenged you to many proofs with evidence or quotes to support your accusations, and you don't produce. You instead throw out more insults. You pretend to be some kind of political expert, but if you are, you are one sad excuse for one.

I will point out again one example of what I am talking about, you made an assertion that I said the families or survivors of the 9/11 victims should determine the perimeter of any park or historical site created around Ground Zero. I proved over and over what I did say, which was that I thought local zoning authorities should ask those families or survivors for their input or opinions about that, along with consulting all other appropriate authorites, agencies, and so forth, such as Homeland Security and the National Park Service for example, so that the local authorities could make a better decision about any zoning as it related to any proposed or future perimeter. Total common sense in my opinion, but no, you continued to twist what I said and repeatedly accused me of lying.

To this day, I am still waiting for an apology out of you. If you had one shred of decency, you would apologize, because it is obvious what I did say and did not say, all you had to do was read all of my posts. I still don't know if you can't read with comprehension or you simply insist upon twisting what I said into something that you think you can criticize me for. Whatever your problem, your accusations were wrong, and it is you that was lying or too dumb to read with comprehension. I am still waiting for you to acknowledge your mistake and apologize. And this is but one of numerous examples of the silly name calling here by liberals onto us conservatives, all unjustified and made up from twisted and wrong reasoning.

@parados,
Thank you, parados, for answering my question.
CORRESCTION
I should have typed:
10. Prohibit federal expenditures from exceeding federal REVENUES without the approval of two-thirds of the state legislatures.

I'll respond to your response tomorrow!

So where are you with the strip clubs okie? How about the churches?

Your argument ignores some very basic precepts you claim to want to uphold okie. Do you really want to argue that property owners should not be able to build what they want on their land? I thought you were all for the free market and getting government out of people's way. Is that not what you are for okie? Or are your principles only partisan deep? They only apply if YOU approve.

Again, you show us how little you know of the Constitution and why and how this country was founded okie.

@parados,
parados, People like okie don't understand the contradictions of their beliefs; they say one thing about an issue, then wish to contradict themselves on others. Your example is a good case; he believes in capitalism without government interference, but he also wants to restrict some minority group from building on their own land.

He can't see his own hypocrisy.

rl, It's really not "work." It's entertainment and a learning experience that keeps me coming back to a2k. I've also met many a2kers face-to-face at Meets in London, Chicago, Austin, San Francisco, and Lippstadt. A couple of years ago, we had a2k visitors from Manchester stay with us for about one week to enjoy the sites, some good food, and talking about a2k.

Again, you misquote and mis-represent what I have said. If you consider government regulations as interference, please quote me as saying even one time that there should be no regulation at all. You can't because I have never said it. What I have said is that there is too much government interference or regulation, so again you purposely mis-represent or lie about what I think. And in regard to a minority group building on their land, that is another stupid statement, because who has ever said here that anyone can build anything anywhere if they own the land? Even you, are you stupid enough to think you should be able to? Everyone knows there are zoning regulations virtually everywhere in this country, and now especially there should be some around Ground Zero, it would be pure idiocy not to think it would be appropriate.

You are the one that is conflicted and hypocritical, ci. Do you not believe that zoning is appropriate or common?
