@spendius,
At least you're putting conditions on your bank bailouts. We "loaned" (forced, really) our too-big-to-fail banks $$$$ at nearly 0% and "hoped" they'd use it to ease the credit market. Instead, they purchased US Treasuries paying 4%. They made a bundle, paid back the bailout money and still haven't eased the credit markets -- all on the backs of the taxpayer.

It was done as it was supposed to go....the US political system is broken, the banks needed to be recapitalized and it was only going to happen with public money, but we did not have the ability to carry out the program with transparency. What should scare you more than how little gets gets done in Washington is how little honesty there is in Washington.

I don't think so. I think the bankers are much smarter than our governmental players

I agree.

They had plenty of money. Now they have more.

I've been saying this for years. Would you like to hear my opinion of the two party system? Insert tape number 42.

Do you think it is a perfectly predictable outcome of some cause or other which could have been avoided?

You're all talking about the ballet when a horse bolted pulling a cart and they got wrapped round a tree rather than the large insect that stung it on the scrotum.

@spendius,
Possible causes--

1--The Constitution.

2--The Pussy whip.

3--Getting too rich too quick like Jed Clampett.

4--The decline of Christian values.

5--Television.

6--Being too clever by half.

@reasoning logic,
I would never mean anything that could be expressed by you posting one of your videos RL.

No because I did not see where it would be profitable to say something negative about you.
