The FBI & you and I

A 72 year old British citizen was arrested in South Africa on an FBI warrant for fraud charges. He was detained for 3 weeks before being released after the FBI admitted to making an identity mistake. In fact it was a total cockup.
Should the FBI agents involved in this "mistake" be charged with unlawful arrest or similar crime.

Just how stupid are the FBI. How many other innocent people are they hounding in their overzealous approach to crime busting. They should be dragged yelling and screaming thru the courts and made too pay out some very serious compensation.

On behalf of the FBI and the CIA, you are both under arrest for contributing to the delinquency of a major. Laughing

Oops, I forgot to marandize ya.

You have the right to remain silent...etc. etc.etc.

Yes, it is quite intimidating to realize that the writ of habeas corpus doesn't apply to the FBI or other bureaus created to protect us.

J. Edgar as the FBI along with G.W.B. as CIA have more than a fair share of disruption of consitutional rights, however Ashcroft takes the cake for wanton disregard.

Maybe the FBI have a job creation scheme where they employ the unemployable, the cast offs from regular society and for former employees of "The X Files" tv show.

Well, John. The truth is out there. Glad to see that you got your avatar back.

Hmmmm. Maybe we all ought to keep a low profile for a bit. My home owner's doesn't cover invasion of the government kind. It used to be that one had to get permission to sue the U.S. government.

"Please, sir, may I have permission to sue you?" Rolling Eyes
