We miss you, Paul.

You know , mezzie, this is very strange. It's just an internet forum, right? And Paul was just one on the participants here, right? And he died, far too early, with far too much potential unrealized. I read your post just now & surprised myself. I cried. I guess life sort of goes on, but some very special people will always be sorely missed. Cav was very special. If we have trouble dealing with his death, well how on earth do you cope with it? It must be extraordinarily hard for you. My heart reaches out to you.

I just saw this thread had been rekindled. Msolga says it quite well, Paul was a special person who had that unique ability to bring information and fun as a single package. He was a sopecial guy. Knowing him, even virtually, was an honor I sall not forget.

Pan's refrain from Warren Sevon brought up a memory when Paul posted the lyrics that song a few months before his death.

At the end of dance class, we do breathing/relaxation exercises. Nada asks us to go to our special place while we're breathing. I go to a hill in Central Park, where I can hear the merry-go-round and the clip-clop of horses' hooves. This always makes me think of cav - as he's the reason I went back to New York, after 30+ years of saying "I need to go back to New York".

He's still pushing, still challenging, still making me smile - and breathe deeply.

Damn good guy, that cavfancier.

I agree with Mezzie. There are moments when we think of Paul, and our natural instinct is to come here - where he was loved and respected.

It's been a while since I've been here. Guess it's time to post another memory of Cav...

Thought of cav and buttercup the other day.

I was in a store and Beyond the Sea was playing.

Made me think of Letty and buttercup talking here.

I just realized that was three years to the day since I last saw cav.

That's too long for him to be gone.

He and I and letty used to plot how to run a poetry contest, with a prize and everything, here on a2k. It never came to fruition, but, it was fun to talk it over.
