@DrewDad,
We're on vacation at the beach this week.

Buddy keeps saying that he sees the tooth fairy, and the girls are very jealous.

We also found a bug with two glowing spots like eyes, and much argument ensued about whether it was, in fact, the tooth fairy.

Yaya concluded, "don't be silly, it was probably just a magical bug!"

@DrewDad,
T and Buddy went to the UT/OU game this weekend, which is held in Dallas at the State Fair of Texas.

After the game, they were at the fair and Buddy was in the stroller. They'd been doing some shopping, including buying some fudge which T had stashed on top of the stroller. While she was shopping for some other items, she started noticing people commenting, saying things like "that's awesome!" and "he's having the best day of his life!"

She walks around to the front of the stroller to check on him, and see's that he has a 1/2 pound brick of fudge, and he's eating it like corn on the cob! Fudge covering his face, clothes, hands, etc.

She asks him how it got it, and he says, "I hit dis!" <mimes hitting the top of the stroller> "It fall down." <points to the ground> "My pick it up! It good! It shock-o-lot!"

For the sake of my blood pressure, I'm pretending that UT's football program has been shut down.

@DrewDad,
Good grief that's an adorable Wookie!!!

Who did the paint job, very nice!

Seems like a very happy kiddo! Does he look a lot like Chiquita? (Haven't seen any photos for a while.)

Barnes & Noble had a Star Wars reading day, with a bunch of activities. Stick puppet Yoda, Origami Darth Vader, professional face painting, readings from the Origami Yoda series, etc.

He's a pretty easy-going guy. It helps that his older sisters dote on him.

The resemblance to Keetah is uncanny, at times.

@DrewDad,
Origami Yoda! Sozlet loves those books. She's too old for them but she loves them.

There's a new one, isn't there?

How are the older sisters doing?

@sozobe,
I think the new one is "Fortune Wookie."

Sisters are doing great. Third grade teacher was under the impression she could push Yaya around, but we made it clear that wasn't acceptable. She's been surprisingly pleasant since then.

@DrewDad,
Last night at dinner, Yaya (9), Keetah (7) and Little Cuz (5) were all talking about crushes. Who has a crush on them and who they have a crush on.

I listened in with slight concerns about age-appropriateness and kids growing up too fast, until Keetah wisely opined, "someday, the boys will know what to do to get you to marry them, and that is: be annoying!"

Yep. They're still little.

@DrewDad,
Buddy tonight, after some chaos getting kids ready for bed, stuff ready for the week, etc.: "Me have a bad day, but a good life, Mama."

@DrewDad,
Tonight at our house:

Buddy: "Daddy, I playing with a top!"
Me, distracted: "That's nice, Buddy."
Buddy: "Daddy, me playing a 'zoo!" (kazoo)
Me, distracted: "That's nice, Buddy."
Buddy: "Daddy, me a painter!"
Me, distracted: "That's ni-... Wait! What?"

He'd actually found a small paint bucket that we'd been using to test paint colors, and he was slopping it on the floor and walls....

Thankfully, it was water-based paint.

@DrewDad,
Oh geez that's cute. Easily imagined in conjunction with the "me a painter" part too. ("What's wrong Daddy, I paint pretty colors!")

@sozobe,
T: Buddy, come eat your beef taco!

Buddy: What's it called?

T: A beef taco.

Buddy: NO! What's its name?

T: Beef taco...

Buddy: NOOOOOO! What do you call it?

T (wanting to move on): Fred.

Buddy (looking very confused, then amused): Oh! It's Fred?

T: Yep. Are you going to eat it?

Buddy, trots in and sits down. Sizes me up, then says: Is it LUNCH?

T: (Ah-ha!) Yes, it's lunch.

Buddy: A drink is supposed to be with lunch. Can you get it for me?

@DrewDad,
San Antonio Riverboat tour guide: "About 1 block north stands the Alamo..."

Yaya: "Wait! What? The Alamo is HERE? One block away? THE Alamo? The one I learned about? I can't believe it! I thought it was so far away! Can I SEE it? Like, I can really look at it? What? There are TOURS?!"

@DrewDad,
Buddy, to me, as I'm putting a chicken in the oven: "What are you doing with those Brontosauruses?"

(Probably heard me talking to the girls about how birds are dinosaurs.)
