Thanks.
I definitely think she's a cutie.
That's GREAT NEWS, DrewDad! Can't wait to read about what Ya-ya does with the new baby! When's it due?
Late August. Ultrasound a week from Wednesday!
August! That's really exciting, wow. So they'll be, what, ~a year and a half apart? How cool.
Will you be finding out whether the baby'll be a boy or a girl at the ultrasound?
Nearly two years apart.
We'll find out the gender if we can, but won't tell anyone this time. We got nothing but grief last time for believing the doctor....
Ha! Yeah, I moved at ~7 months pregnant and had a doctor in my old town and a doctor in my new town say that the baby was a boy and a girl, respectively. So I had a healthy dose of skepticism, and tell everyone who gets an ultrasound not to put TOO much stock in what they're told.
Is Ya-Ya signing to the baby-to-be yet?
August! Only four months of sleep left! Enjoy it while you can!
ah, Hearty Congrats on the news, DrewDad. Best wishes to you all.
I wish I could get four solid months of sleep....
Thanks for all ya'lls warm wishes.
Today we're counting Elmos. (She loves Elmo. She keeps asking us to draw Elmo for her; today there were three Elmo pictures on her paper: crayon, marker, watercolor.) So she's helping me count, and I'm counting like the Count on Sesame Street.
She points to each Elmo in turn, and I count him. After three, I say "Three Elmos! Ah, ah, ah!"
Then we go through it again. Daddy says, "Three Elmos!"
And Ya-ya says, "Ah! Ah! Ah!"
Mama changing a diaper:
"Did you poop in your diaper?"
"No..."
"Who pooped in your diaper, then?"
"Elmo!"
"Silly! Elmo didn't poop in your diaper."
"Ee-nie?" (Ernie)
"I don't think so."
"Elmo!"
Ya-ya loves Timberlandko's avatar.
"Bird!"
"More!"
Ha, sozlet did at that age too.
Just wait 'til she asks you what the bunny's doing...
I've been neglecting the Ya-ya stories....
We went to a late (10:20 p.m.) showing of Madagascar, expecting Ya-ya to crash and sleep through it. No dice. Not only did she remain awake, she watched and giggled through the entire thing. She was quiet, too, except for when one of the characters asked, "Who wants a cookie?"
Ya-ya replies, "Cookie. COOOOKIEEEE!"
That was after two days at the beach.
She liked it when we dug up clams and let them dig back into the sand. She'd watch them dig, and then wave and say, "bye-bye."
Sometimes she'd get impatient, though, and would shove them back under the sand herself. "I push! Bye-bye!"
