I know, but this is not fixable like plumbing or bridges. In London it is gangs. A religion is behind the gang trouble. The nicest thing you can call it is a problem with youth? They have already wasted their breath, why waste their money?

I don't know your experiences in the field of primary prevention, but due to my own experiences when working in prevention (from youth centres over state police department to teaching at university) it does. (Of course not not 100%.)

@coldjoint,
Thank you.
Since I'm not a native English speaker: how do you call secondary and tertiary prevention?

Interesting.
I know that the heath insurances aren't the same as elsewhere, but I do know that you've got hospices, rehabilitation, psychotherapy etc.

However, looking at your agenda here, your wish is not surprising at all.

Then you also should know we have massive fraud in health care. One of the reasons the fraud exists is the availability of funds that guarantee no results. Rehabilitation is just another way of treating the criminal better than the victim in most cases there a 0 results, only the cries for more money to do very little else than enable more fraud.

@coldjoint,
So you call it "waste of money" if someone gets psycho- and/or physiotherapy, any other kind of rehabilitation or palliative care because you "have massive fraud in health care".

You curtainly have better experiences here, too, than anyone else. (In the suburbain village I live, we've two larger rehabilitation clinics but the normal rehabilitation as well by specialist doctors for rehabilitation in practises and practises for physiotherapy.
No-one here thinks that such enables fraud, but perhaps we really should take up your expert opinion.

@Walter Hinteler,
that poster's responses help us understand why veterans get such poor care in the US - it reminds me a bit of the Korean response to illness/disease/injury - they're not 100%/perfect, might as well dump them

I said nothing about veterans. Why don't you comment on what I actually said?

Our healthcare system is older than Nazi times.
But you're correct that I don't speak for everyone - many think that we should have more than we 280 rehabilitation clinics we still got, but at least, the palliative care is improving.

You didn't exclude them.

Let's call it a waste of money.

So now you say, just veterans should get second and tertiary prevention?

@Walter Hinteler,
Out of context Wally, it does not apply to veterans. You should be ashamed of yourself.

You hadn't specified any exceptions in your answer.

Do you really think that I can read your secret thoughts behind a written answer? Mind reading isn't my speciality (though in person-centred therapy), even if you've tried telepathy.
