@Sturgis,

That is incorrect. The people who are outraged at these whiny brats are not upset over this.
I also question the premise of your statement. I doubt that officials do nothing to protect all people.
Sturgis wrote:Protect by enacting laws which prohibit purchase of any weapon to a person under the age of 25!
Unconstitutional. How about we raise the age to get an abortion to age 25?
Not protection either. People in their early 20s are not dangerous.
Not to mention, anyone who is too young to be trusted with a gun is too young to be trusted to vote.
Sturgis wrote:Protect by not selling any assault rifles to anybody.
Also unconstitutional. There is no justification for banning pistol grips.
Also not protection. Bans on pistol grips do not protect anyone.
People who want to ban pistol grips just enjoy violating civil rights for fun.
Sturgis wrote:Protect by having real and meaningful background checks on each and every person who wants to buy a gun.
There was a reason why the Clinton-era Democrats who established the background-check system exempted private sales.
If anyone could call in a background check on anyone else, it would be a massive invasion of the privacy of every person in America.
