Like I said, I don't want any more pointless arguments, nor do I want to divert this thread any more, so I'll bow out.
I just hope Setanta gets the help he needs.
Apologies to Real Music.
I see nothing wrong with closed primaries.
Each party has the right to select it's presidential candidates however they seem fit.
These two corrupt parties have manipulated our system to shut out people other than disgusting insiders.
We need to obliterate this bullshit.
Our country is on life support.
@Real Music,
Quote:Party officials tend to support the role of superdelegates as a possible stopgap measure if non-Democrats make a problematic choice in choosing the Democratic nominee. These officials, the thinking goes, can correct “mistakes” made through open primaries.
Perhaps the Democratic Party would give up on superdelegates’ role altogether if the nominating process switched to closed primaries? Maybe trade one for the other?
I would definitely support the democrats discontinue using
superdelegates if they also convert all of the open primaries into closed primaries. The reason for having superdelegates would no longer exist if all primaries in every state became "closed" primaries.

@izzythepush,

Would that you got the help you so obviously need.

People over party machines.
