that sounds so delicious.
i'm sure you'll go through all that work and your house will look like a mess after all the folks pig down.
be sure to have tons of napkins!!!
It was all good, it was all eaten and enjoyed. My kitchen isn't too much the worse for wear but now I know why I never deep fry anything. The beer-batter shrimp were good (although I think I would add some cayenne to the batter if I were to make them again) but my entire house smells like hot oil and fried shrimp. It's only 40 degrees here today but I'm opening the house up to try to air it out.
The 'lil smokies and cresent rolls were a big hit with the kids, everyone enjoyed the chicken wings and the shrimp. One friend liked the artichoke dip so much she took the rest of it home with her and my daughter and her friend took turns scooping out the Merkt's cheese onto crackers and filling their faces. My daughter did tell me that Merkt's is best on wheat thins and although I had about a dozen different crackers out to choose from she went to the cupboard and found a box of wheat thins and was a happy little clam.
Thanks for everyone's ideas. Now, any thoughts on getting hot oil smells out?
Another thing that Merkt's is particularly good on are the Rold Gold twist pretzle sticks. My parents also like to use the NY Style garlic bagel chips.
