Hiya,
I'm going to see this "play" next week. Have any of you seen it?
Was it really funny?
I hope so!!
Sorry, Jerry, but what is this poll about? I really failed to understand its main idea, and the meaning of expression "The Puppetry of P***s"...
Sorry Steissd, it's a stage play.
This is their site, I'm just curious to see if anyone knows much about it.
Puppetry
The poll is a joke
Kind of a pun, as the word pole can be used for the word p****.
It was a really BIG hit here in San Francisco. Then again, I heard the two puppeteers were hung like horses, so it had an instant audience.
Hey, Littlek, maybe you can get lucky and score some passes to the after party.
I've heard that it's very funny.
I've seen the guys interviewed, and they're hysterical.
uhhhh, after party? Ya know, it'll be the two guys, a thousand women and gay men. No, thanks....
Jerry, in my searching I found out they've hired other puppeteers - I hope we get the originals... And thanks for posting this thread FINALLY! I was itching to talk about it here and figured you should start us off.
Ohmagawd, this could be big. Another Blue Man Group! And keep that poll away from me, Jerry.
I haven't had a really good poll in a really long time. Thanks, Jerry.
Kinda gives new meaning to the old They Might Be Giants Song, "Touch the Puppet Head".
<doing Butthead impression from Beavis & Butthead episode about camping wherein they pitch a tent> Grab this pole, Stewart. Heh, m, heh heh....
Hey! They're having auditions!
isn't it a bit like Cirque or Tap Dogs in that there are a number of travelling peni (what is the appropriate plural?) troupes on the go at any one time? i think that's what i recall from when they were in t.o. It was really difficult to get tickets - they extended (harharhardeeharhar) the run, but it was sold out even then.
I don't want to spoil a light hearted topic but have you seen the work related injuries these guys put up with?
HAHAHAHAHA! Is that a nut? <grin>
Was an article in the Boston Glob a bit ago about these guys and their auditions... says you need to have testicular fortitude, and no shame.
does size matter? Well no, but they consider themselves sculptors, and the more clay the bigger the statue...
I thought maybe that they grew - they do get a good work out after all.
