Aw, thanks Set. I wouldn't trade this doggie for one who didn't end up getting this condition.
I don't get to post here very often...and I'm not quite sure of all thats been said previous here but, you know how I feel about that darling little Bootsie Baby...she is simply precious!
You keep your chin up, you put a darn cart under her if you have to....
and you both share as many hugs as you can fit into each and everyday.
HUGS from here coming your way!
Kittie kisses too!
Thanks Cass. I did ask the vet about little doggie carts. They don't have any.
I was actually wondering how your baby dog was going, k, then this thread was revived by bluemoon a few days ago. I would have had trouble finding it again otherwise. So how is your darling Bootsie these days? Happy now that spring has arrived at last, I'll bet.
Such as our spring is this year - it's been cold and rainy for longer than usual. It's cool in that we have a longer spring bloom, but enough already!
Boo has had a rough couple of days, but she's chipper. I learned a new technique for suspending her back end when she walks. I slip a towel under her belly and hold the ends well above her so I don't have to stoop.
Thanks for asking, MsOlga!
You darned ol' doggy lover you, now you've given me the snuffles . . .
Ah, setanta, you ol softy.
we can make a doggie cart out of a skateboard. boo is quite trusting, she might learn eventually. at least around the house. well, you'd have to remove the doorstops... hmmmm. it's an idea, anyway. maybe i should sleep.
Daggiepoo! Where you been? I haven't seen you 'round lately!
in san fran with my sister. didn't get online much, was entertained by my four year old nephew. 'twas grand. yesterday we spent a day at Six Flags Marine World - we saw a whale, dolphin, elephants, walrus, i went on the scary mofo's, the Medusa rollercoaster and another one where you hang off the rail on a chair, blew my brains to bits, but man, what a ride. loved it! AND i'm scared of hights. somehow it didn't seem to matter that much, only produced more of an adrenaline rush.
Re Boo, I think the towel thing is not as bad as it seems at first glance as it is a wide band...
She is perky, mostly. eh? She can get into the aid outfit thing, I think, given general awakeness...
Couldn't do that with Pacco. He is dead to the universe or World Cop Personified.
yeah, boo is a people dog. she has ups and downs. she seemed a bit withdrawn lately last few times i came over, even a bit weary of me as if i could hurt her or something, looking for mama constantly. but last time i was over she was her old self, wagging, smiling, in good spirits. and the vet seems to be more or less optimistic from what i understand. not that she'll get mirraculously better, but that she can stay as is for quite awhile.

Wow, that sounds really cool. Rollercoasters are the best! Maybe there should be a rollercoasters thread...
yeaaaaah. i'll post pics later, maybe just on my blog though.
Thanks for mentioning your blog. I just checked out your latest tale. Excellent. I really enjoyed it.
Damn, are all mothers like that?
sigh. mine sure is. who ever allowed marriage counsellors to have kids? scary stuff. anyhooo, good night, tarcan, must sleep a bit. as soon as the elephant on the floor above goes to bed himself, grrrrr.
Thanks for the update, k. I'm looking forward to tales of Bootsie enjoying sunny mornings in the garden. So here's hoping it warms up soon. Warmth & sunshine & open air seem to make such a difference to morale in these situations. Bootsie is lucky to have you, k! Lots of less sympathetico folk would bother with the trouble you're going to. But then, they never had such pleasure, enjoyment & love from their critters! ... And of course, you are lucky to have Bootsie!

How about a wagon? This is a good time of year to find all kinds of kiddie wagons at yard sales for a coupla bucks. (I've got a colleague looking for one of those kiddie trailers that go behind bicycles - to load my dogs in for a trip to the beach).
Boots is such a great lovey dog. I've got a coupla pix of her running through my screen saver slide show - always makes me grin.

Interesting stuff!
And theres a boxer there on one of them...humm.
Anywho..from the looks of it...your towel plus some training wheels so, you're on the right track!
And a whole HECK of a lot cheaper..jeesh.
