Bumble, I was never very good at doggie etiquette!
Ok..... here are some baby photos. I was living in Athens, GA when my boyfriend bought Boo for me. The boyfriend quickly became an ex. The second picture is Boo with Squirrel cat (my current cat's dead sister). In the third picture, she is wrestling with her sister, Maven, while on my lap.
and then, still in Athens, this is a little speck of Boo in the heavenly Sandy Creek Park dog run #1. I loved that place as much as Boo did. I have loads of pix from that park and more fond memories. Wild rose bushes bloomed in May and wild flowers mixed with grass all summer long. we startled a pair of deer who hopped the fence after we spotted them. They provided a big blue water bowl in which Boo would sink her face up to her eyeballs to slurp after a good long run. After the guy who gave me Boo and I broke up, I was a mess (he is THE bastard ex). Within a few months of the break up, I quit smoking and would run around this dog park (it was huge!) until I thought I was going to barf. I got better and better and felt great. I really think it helped both with quitting the bad relationship and the cigaretts.
This next set is from Cambridge, mostly from my last home. She was a dog always up for whatever came her way. Her first snow, which she experienced on a trip home from GA, didn't daunt her a bit - she just lept into it chest deep and ran like crazy. As she aged, she was a little less inclinded to jump into snow that deep, but she still liked it.
She loved her cats and her cats loved her. My sister has a cat who used to walk underneath Boo - not like walking through a tunnel, but like a shadow. If Boo moved forward, so would the cat, if Boo moved sideways, so would the cat - under Boo's belly. THe whole time she would be rubbing her belly or legs with her head and tail. And, Boo would occasionally squish her down with a paw and lick her head. I don't have pix of that, but I do have pix of her with my cats, here's a couple.
And.... I swear the dog had a sense of humor. She loved to share a joke, even if the joke was on her. If I was laughing at or with her, she was happy. People say dogs don't have humor - I think they do. I'm not sure cats do, though they like to have fun.
Thanks MsOlga, that was a nice project for me.
