I had that problem, too - but, pedant that I am, noticed and corrected.

Must be an American programme = it doesn't like things unexploded!
(It also offers unexploited!)

Thanks, McTag

Aussie's !!, what the hell happened to you last weekend.

It's like you didn't want to be there for the International Rules games.

Me thinks that could be the end of it.
A team of Irish amateur GAA players, no matter how well motivated should not have been able to wipe the floor with a team of Australian Professionals.

I remember the 1st series 80.000 + in Croke Park to see it and then last Sunday to see only 25.000 or so there was sad.
It was obvious to all from the 1st game that the Aussies hearts weren't in it.
I'm surprised, it's usually an honour to play for your country.

International Rules .... R.I.P

@eurocelticyankee,
I'm not much of a fan of Aussie Rules, but the IR concept seems deeply flawed to me. A round ball and soccer goals? That removes about 30% of the average AFL player's skill set. And having a goal keeper? It just goes to show how desparate the AFL heavies were to have international competition. What concessions did the Irish make? Do they feel like as much of a freak show as the Aussies must? Did you know it was an all indigenous team - so not strictly the best team available regardless of their talents.

Can't wait until baseball mixes it up with lawn bowls - they get some real curve! Lacrosse and field hockey! AWESOME!

Yeah, I agree, it was doomed from the get go, ah well c'est la vie.

Or soccer and rugby, I'd love to see some overpaid soccer Prima Donna's being mowed down.

Just had a hurried phone call from an offspring of the male variety. He has just been offered a place on a PhD research project which will take him up and down the east coast of AUSTRALIA for the next three years.

If all goes well, he will come back tanned, married to a rich Oz girl, twice as laid back as he is at present (if that's possible), able to play cricket a bit better and have Doctor in front of his name.

I have already ordered the necessary equipment to turn the second ("his") bedroom into a state of the art media/entertainment/chillax centre.

Being British I tend to shy away from showing too much emotion, but on this occasion I shall make an exception.

Ahem......

Jolly well done, son.

@hingehead,
I honestly have no idea at this time, as all I had was a breathless phone call with the basic news.

Tell me, is it at all permissable to call one's son a lucky bastard?

I hear most Aussies want Australia to break away from England and be an independent nation, but is that a good idea?

Of course it is mi Lord. Having such genetic excellence as the lad obviously has is definitely a lucky thing. I assume a lady made some sort of contribution.
