@spendius,
Can we start spelling Cadel properly please?

A world class mountain biker and one of the AIS's proudest achievements who made the move to road racing - which doesn't just require legs but a racing team, a support team, and and a bike.

As much as I hate car racing I sincerely doubt just anyone could jump into an F1 and win a grande prix. Except maybe for the P-Plater who tailgated me this morning and then fishtailed on the highway turn to make a complete goose of himself. 232-LBX you know who you are.

@margo,
Italy was wonderful but spent most of the 2 months in France. Very sad to be back. Pic's soonish. Will do a trip report too (you're a hard taskmaster). Presents: I have a box of escargot shaped chocolates in my desk drawer - help yourself!

THE MEANING OF OZ

Wizard of Oz was apparently conceived as an allegory for the political issues related to the nature of money in the late 1800s. "Oz" meant an ounce of gold.

Well--I know that. I watch it all every year on Eurosport The point I made was simply that the man is far more important in the Tour than in a GP car. That Cadel Evans's feat is greater that Mark Webber's without underestimating the latter.

I was merely reminding our friends from down under that a "Meaning of Oz" thread was a bit remiss not drawing attention to Cadel Evans and instead wittering on about Italy, chocolates and spiders. That's what you get when women take over.

@spendius,
Well said spendi, I do agree we are somewhat remiss in not recognising Cadel Evans feats here, he truly is a superstar.

@spendius,
Sadly you appear to given him 'the kiss of death'. (Is that an Oz phrase? the idea that by praise you destroy performance?)

8 minutes behind and a fractured arm....

@dlowan,
Sheesh--all this effort and creative brainpower we men have brought to bear to help women to be comfortable and relaxed and they are having to walk to work through the frost.
