@spendius,
In the interview after the presentation Dottie said--"I'm surprised I won 13 frames".

@spendius,
I'm afraid snooker has absolutely zero profile here. We heard of him only as he made the final.

Darts - another mystery to us - but some Aussie won something in UK, some time back.

Now, cricket - on the other hand.....

Aren't you really glad? Very Happy

Boo hiss, Coles Home Brand! What's that stuff masquerading as meat in their offerings, hmmmm? Wink

ABC news online.

New tests have found meat pies actually contain more meat now than they did four years ago.

Consumer watchdog Choice tested 20 frozen meat pies available in supermarket chains nationally.

Only one, the Coles home brand, failed to meet the minimum 25 per cent meat content standard. ... <cont>

@msolga,
HMM, look like we coulduse that stuff INSIDE the pie as a wellhead grout . (We have a little oil well leak down in our Gulf). This stuff looks like a good quickset.

What kind of meat is gray like that? And whats that congealed stuff on the top?

What sort of flavor pie would I be enjoying?

@Rockhead,
Oh I'd rather not think about what's in those pies, Rocky! Shocked A bit early in the day for such thoughts!

Perhaps the pretend meat filling (which was really lentils) was a much better, healthier option after-all?

Meet pies (piping hot & smothered in tomato sauce) are very big in Oz. (Don't ask me why. I don't know why. It's just the way things are. Wink Confused )

You ask so many questions, farmer!

And I know none of the answers! (I'll bet you anything someone else will, though!)

However, I can confidently inform you that many, many, many Ozzians (in the colder parts of the nation, in winter) ADORE these pies! Like at the "footy" (football) on a Saturday afternoon. It's a bonza experience! Very Happy

People have often grumbled about the mysterious "meat" substance which they're filled with, though. Also, whatever it is, that there just wasn't enough of it! (Ripped off! Evil or Very Mad )
So now they know there is more meat in them than ever before! Hooray!

Very crispy morning here msolga, perfect for a hot "pie-floater". What is a 'pie-floater'? This may help.

Pie floater

The pie floater is a meat pie turned upside-down in a bowl of thick pea soup. It is traditionally served with tomato sauce, but other accompaniments are Worcestershire sauce or vinegar.

You do realize that no one's going to believe this, don't you, Dutchy? Wink Laughing Razz

No, no, Rocky.

Pie floaters are a South Australian delicacy. (Deb is probably enjoying one for lunch right now! Razz )

The rest of the country is kinda awed! Smile

Are the Choice findings correct?
