I always think it's remarkable that we even go to the winter olympics - let alone actually win anything!

Apart from dadpad, none of us would never see snow or ice in our routine lives. Not too many Aussies live anywhere it snows. Those who compete in the limpix usually live overseas in one of those cold countries.

The last time I saw snow was about 15 years ago, in Norway.

If it ain't rugby, then the Kiwis are usually a no-show in the count!
Even if it is rugby, they've been pretty much a World Cup no-show!

Aussies turn up in all sorts of amazing places Laughing

@Dutchy,

Especially when it apparently has to do with GEOLOGY, not weather!!!!
Weather bureau senior forecaster Ashley Patterson said the geological conditions were perfect on Friday for a tornado in the Douglas Daly region.
Paper needs a goddam proof reader.

@dlowan,
Probably because global warming causes lots of earthquakes.

One thing about geological conditions is that they don't change much or often--so you're probably going to have perfect geological conditions for tornados for the next few centuries at least. Time to move away?

I am not about to complain about geological conditions that might, possibly, one day, deposit free, guiltless, fresh (indeed living!!) fish into my paws!

@dlowan,
Yes . . . obviously the reference should have been to geopolitical conditions . . .

ohmigawd, rabbits evolving into predators and carnivores right before our eyes! gotta be environmental stress causing insanely rapid mutation due to global warming. Hurry! Evacuate Australia before we're all eaten alive.

Depends where you were standing and looking at spendi, besides you may need glasses, I found the other parts far more impressive. Well done Sydney.
