My favourite piece of now historical and parochial, in terms of Melbourne, graffiti:

Q. What would you do if Jesus Christ came to Hawthorn tomorrow?

A. Move Peter Hudson to centre half forward.

NB if you don't understand Australia or Australian Rules football this will make no sense to you at all.

But it has kept me laughing for years Very Happy

Laughing That's hilarious, gf! (but quite apt.)

We Melbournians really are an incredibly navel gazing bunch, though. I wonder why that is? Every other Oz city manages to get things into perspective! .... Maybe it's the rotten winters, or something? Confused All that time indoors, brooding, introspecting, obsessing, weighing all the pros & cons .... Cool

"my 17 year old daughter said.....He'd (Jesus) be good in the wet."

I thought that was very funny too dadpad. I'm sure most people would including Christians provided they haven't had a total humourectomy.

But you try transposing that joke for a similar mild dig at Mohammed, and see what happens...sad isnt it?

One thing about having prophets on your team, they can tell you the final score at the first bounce-up Very Happy

Mind you, sort of takes away the point of playing I suppose...........

Jeez, some folk are kill-joys! Fancy poo pooing a real, true to life, replica Gallipoli park here in Oz! Think of how much cheaper it would be to get there. And you could go all the time, not just once in a life time! And you could have tourist shops, restaurants, fun rides...... Better than the real thing by far!

Good point msolga - hmmmm - hadn't thought of the old "let's build a Gallipoli theme park on the Mornington Peninsula" ploy, I must be slipping Very Happy

Oh by the way good to see you're staying away from the demo at Carlton this evening - that sort of thing alienates the average voter and only strengthens support for JH

Ah ABC NewsRadio msolga - non-parochial radio at its best! If I relied on local media all I'd get is info about Lleyton Hewitt and Andrew McLeod (Adelaide Crows) falling out and taking legal action against one another Very Happy

Oh and the "Hen's Night" that went very wrong in Hindley Street in the early hours of this morning Rolling Eyes
