I am coming to Tarpon Springs in a few days to help out a friend's mother- I'll be there a few months and during that time I'd like to get her out of the house occasionally.
Where does one take an 82 year old...?

Why don't you take her to lunch down at the sponge docks?
Here's a
guide to a few. (I Googled "tarpon springs restaurants" and got several good options.)
You could go by and sign the
petition against the Wal-Mart (if you're so inclined)....
If she's still pretty good on her feet, take her down to the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Pete. It's terrific.
