Yes, it's almost as impressive as Lola's big candle...or so I'm told.
Looking forward to a Joe Nation, er, Joen, summary...not to put on any pressure or anything.
Actually, it'd be fun to hear Nancy & Louise's takes.
(....envisioning forebearing mates who can stand to hear the word a2k one more damn time.)

This is so true..........major campaign for Beth to get herself a cell phone. (You can turn them off when you don't want to be bothered, you know girl.) Frank and I gave her the old "talkin to" about it. But she smiled politely and said nothing in response. Let's all work on her.
I think they are close to useless/obnoxious except once in a while, usually when I am traveling, which makes them worth having. (Diane's cell phone sits in my purse discharging as we speak, in case I get entirely lost and need to call a neighbor or something. I've been lost four times already and wormed my way out of it. But still, I'm glad it's in my purse. Or will be again after I charge it.)
I make exceptions re work and some family matters. Sometimes in our landscape work it is vital to have that phone in the field. But I hate the forest of chatterers walking through parking lots...
errr, i have a cell phone. just never bothered to get a U.S. plan for it
Now the truth comes out. He he
Osso, I agree, people need to learn and use cell etiquette. Normally, I leave the room or go outside when I get a cell call. But, I've been getting lazy.
Last night just as I was arriving at Lola's, a friend of Beth and mine called my cell. I told him we'd just arrived and I expected he'd say oops, see ya (not this one). I passed the phone to Beth thinking she'd be firmer than I could. The phone died and he called back! I feel badly about not wanting to talk to him. I shouldn't have answered it.
The cells (well, Dag's cell, mine sucks) were wonderfully useful in getting a large and scattered group of people in NYC in synch.
It looks like you all had a great time. Beth, you are hereby forbidden from going to NYC without me, you hear?
Ooooh, does this mean Swimpy's coming to New York City the next time?
Icily great photo, Beth.
Swimpy, what a great idea... more whens...
Damn, soz, I'd love to meet you one on one in New York, in a quiet place, for the serenity - cloisters? the Met.. top of a building, a garden, and settle in and talk for an hour, in our way.
Smiling... that does sound just lovely. :-)
All of you come.......what a great time we could all have. I love this city! And Summer coming up is so exciting.
Well, not to hog sozobe. But for some of us smaller meets within big ones are better.
ehBeth--
You would exhaust anyone--but you also revitalize and invigorate.
Since the picture is taken it might as well be displayed.
NYC in August anyone?
Hmm...my birthday's in August.
