...and a very merry meeting it was.

You and I should get together at some point. Every mutual admiration society deserves a meeting.

I'm looking at booking a trip to NYC for the Thursday to Monday/Tuesday that falls into that block. I'm probably going to book the room next week.
Hopefully BrendaLee will be able to come along for this trip (ok so she's only posted 2x (?) but she's still an A2K'r), and I'm working over one or two other Canajuns about the Walter-a-thon.

BRODHEADSVILLE?
Why thats very close to the Saylorsburg fossil reef of the Hamilton Formation (I give people roaddirections by geological formations, it drives em nuts). I hope Noddy got to show some Mctg the State fossil of Pa , which is ubiquitous within the reef rock.
EHBETH-Whos in the drivers seat of this here get-together? Ill be able to come on up for a day (or down, if Im workin up north) so somebody just tell me which one, my schedule , when Im working isnt that flexible . Ill be teaching a "mine surveying" field camp up in the salt licks of NY state, thats in the end of june to mid July. Then we are heading to MAine again.
farmerman - it looks like we're having some sorta get-together in NYC in early June of 2007. I need to find my Strand Bookstore calendar out to get the exact Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Hopefully you (with MrsFarmerman?) could come down for one of those days.
I thought of you earlier today when I took the dogs for an extended hike through the Don Valley Brickworks site.
This
... click ... fairly SHOUTED farmerman.
Farmerman--
Glad for the information. At certain seasons of the year there are young folks with little hammers rat-a-tatting on the roadside.
why not send walter a pot of "boston baked beans" . it'll save him all the trouble of having to travel to boston for same .
that way he can "have a gas" anyplace .
hbg
***for walter : "having a gas" means having a good time to canadians

In that case, you might be interested in this, found at another interesting geological site (Torridon, Scotland) earlier in the year.
Our little flat here, on which ever day or days when everyone can coordinate for bonding, should happily serve as nexus or axis or central front. If we entertain you here, we won't have to entertain you there.
And you'll get real entertainment instead just dirty talk between the two of you!
Bernie supplies the entertainment, too. Film on DVD, but peanuts at the interval, not popcorn.
Have you seen "The Three Amigos" yet?
So I turned on my PC to find....nothing new, well not much anyway, so now I'll turn it off again and watch the TV morning news.
And the report of last night's football, of course.
It's worth seeing for the "Goodnight" scene alone. You'll know the one I mean when you see it.
early June 2007
I see an Upper West Side
Vesuvius on my agenda.
Happy Birthday to me. I'd better dance off some calories in advance.

I don't normally like chocolate-y things, but I'm going to try to make an exception for this.
