Soz,
Yes indeed. We'll surely have a big party for the next election. You and everyone are encouraged to come. If the Dems keep their powder dry and behave nicely, letting the Germans press charges for war crimes, we'll have something to celebrate big time.
We have Thomas for one more day. He doesn't fly out until tonight. We'll miss him as we've been missing McTag. It's like they've become members of our family. TcTag was the ideal guest, you'll be happy to know Fiona. I never heard any snoring (but then I don't get up in the middle of the night to smoke, like Bernie does) and I never heard him say a potty word. He only wrote naughty on this thread. Our influence, I'm afraid. Potty mouth is our household language.
Unfortunately, Bernie and I could not run about the city with our guests together. One of us had to play jewelry merchant at the shop. We're closed only on Monday. McTag and I had a good adventure on the Staten Island Ferry. The old girl with the pointy crown is still standing and looking as beautiful as ever. And we had a high time riding and transferring trains and buses. Lots of New York character to be seen on the subway.
Thomas and I had a short trip to the East Village to buy a DVD. Kims is a well known video/music store where one of my darling daughters works. (This is a real prestige job, she's so proud.) They have everything there. And sure enough, they had exactly what Thomas wanted. The ambience of the place is too-good-to-be-bothered cool. If an employee smiles at a customer, they are immediate identified as a non-intellectual and not worthy of favor. My daughter has been the exception. But what can you do with a tall blond from Texas? Everybody knows that blonds from Texas aren't intellectual anyway. Or so they had supposed.
But we all had the most fun sitting around in our living room watching the news and eating. Such good company. I'm trying to talk Thomas into moving to New York. He fits in so well here. I know I haven't a chance convincing McTag and Fiona, so I didn't even try.
I've been away from a2k too long. My habit of checking in on these threads is broken. I'll try to do better.
Blah blah blah, I've been writing too long.......back to work.
