I like the image of the woman with the Hudson and shoreline in the background, she's looking back at you peacefully... and the water matches her jacket... a quiet calming photo. Like the misty coral ferry photo with all the vertical fencing slats in front..
well, I could go on and on.
EhBeth--
You're good for my laugh lines.
The Next New York Adventure is....?
I guess I should ask, is that the Hudson or East River?
The Hudson
< we really need Kicky to post his pix, as my camera's battery went pffffft for the evening after that >
Eugenie and I finally made it out of Central Park that Sunday morning.
Found a phone booth near this corner to try and call Roberta again.

Is that a bunny with three ears, or a bunny unicorn? lol
Oh my! I haven't seen great uncle Robert (known in the family as Trig Ears) forever!
Was he well, guys?
When I saw that photo yesterday, I reported it at once to the
Three Hares project: until now, a single species is unknown.
someplace I've probably been before, but didn't understand the significance of - 35 years can change how we view the world
Hey, cool photo! I stayed at the Milford Plaza once, so I know where that is...
I love the whole series of Broadway theater marquees on the blog. I especially love the fact that you got the McDonald's on 42nd Street that looks like a theater -- it makes me laugh every time I see it.
Department of Coincidence from Yesterday's Reading:
In Elizabeth Palmer's The Distaff Side, a pleasant bit of froth, I came across a description of a Russian "Beatiful Corner".
In Judith Levine's Do You Remember Me?, a family memoir focusing on Alzheimers, I found a description of the Chelsea Pier, right down to the skateboarders and The Frying Pan.
All picture perfect. Sorry I missed the fun, but happy you had such a nice time. Remember you are always welcome to come take some photos in the Catskills...
Green Witch, it really was a great series of days. I'm sorry we couldn't meet this time round. The Catskills are on the shortlist for one of my autumn trips - actually more the Adirondacks - but we all know my sense of distance is funny.
Oh my God! I look like my oldest sister. Great shots, Beth. Sorry I've been away.......I've been working on the jewelry business and the other one as well. I'll returnto these threads (home as they are to me) regularly, when I get these two enterprises on their feet. All the signs are good.......barring the arrival of the avian flu.
Lola is as gorgeous as ever.....
