It's cool to have so many faces with the names now.
Here is a picture of the golf course and Lake Michigan across from my building.
This is a good idea! I'll try and take some pictures of my neighborhood soon.....
On a clear day I can see to the Indiana, Michigan border. Detroit is just a bit too far.
That's wonderful, ever been up to Traverse City?
Can't say that I have, I am trying to get up to Bessemer for some skiing/snowboarding later this month or early March.
Where is Traverse City?
That really is something else. Where I come from, you can always see the other side, unless you're looking across the ocean. I can from eastham to sandwhich on cape cod, but not to anything on the mainland (across the cape cod bay).
I'd like to spend some time at the great lakes.
They're Ok, not sure if I would call them great.
Just to see the sheer size of them. I'd like to visit the lower Mississippi too.
I honestly did not enjoy lake michigan. It's just extremely polluted and cold... even in the hotter summer months.
It's really beautiful in the winter though. I used to go to the Lincoln Park area to just look at the frozen lake waters.
It is a little fuzzy but this is what it is like trying to look straight accross.
This is a really interesting idea for a thread. Plus, it's a good excuse for me to go play with my new digital camera. Maybe I'll take some pics this weekend and put them up here.
If you look behind Navy Pier on the night picture you can see the lights from Indiana.
Kickycan.. pics of NYC on this thread would be fantastic!!
Please allow me to make an advertisment.

JB. I can't believe I had missed this thread. Your photos are fascinating. Super J too. Brazil reminds me of Argentina, where I grew up.
I'll post a few now and then to show you the Florida environment.
This is the baseball field where the 12 year old practices with his team
Sublime, the photo of the long view of the Lake....sublime
Although this picture looks like it's taken in the Roaring Twenties it was taken last year at an antique car show in our little town. The building is a restored Art-Deco movie theater built in the 20's.
