Thanks, I had good support peeps!
It takes a village or rather, a good AA group.
Great points Cob! I am celebrating another milestone.with you, one that I can look "forward" into the future now. On Tuesday I will be celebrating my 25th Wedding anniversary.
After 5 years of sobriety I figured I had good enough sobriety to get married, again. Of course, I did this in counsel with all my sponsors and a few good friends in the program. I have been blessed for god to have brought the best women to have walked the face of the earth into my life.
Now I have another cool thing to celebrate in my life tonight - your birthdayππ€
Here's a little birthday present for you:
we will know a new freedom and a new happiness
we will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it
we will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace
we will see how our experience can benefit others
that feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear
we will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in others
self-seeking will slip away
our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change
fear of people and economic insecurity will leave us
we will intuitively know how to handle situations that used to baffle us
we will suddenly realize that God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves
