Would you like to visit, Osso?
I'm ten minutes away!
It's a better choice - not to hurry up soooo much - than visiting the Hopper exhibition in Cologen /Museum Ludwig), because tomorrow is the last day for that.
(Cezanne, Picasso, Braque, Matisse, Derain are to be seen in Essen until January 16th, though.)
Oh, yes, I'd like to visit, Francis. My travel funding is pretty spare, though.
Walter, the Cezanne, Picasso, Braque, Matisse, Derain show sounds interesting to me...
I saw this show in Toronto, it was exquisite! My
favourite by far, was Turner.
I've only seen a couple of Turner's in person, the ones at the Frick in New York, but I have a nice big book...
I've liked some Whistler's too. Hmmm, I wonder if there is a catalog for that show...
osso, Great link; thanks. Do'n a quick tour of a2k before I call it a day - it took about 24 hours from Siem Reap to San Francisco. ;(
CI, Cav died today, I don't know if you know it - I'll be back with links.

I'm hoping to see the Turner, Whistler, Monet show before it finishes in London (April/May time) and want to see the John Virtue at the National Gallery at the same time and maybe the Matisse at the Royal Academy.
I love Turner's sketches best - they are so modern and free and utterly beautiful. The Tate did a show on them a few years ago and it was magic.
I was very happy that I saw a video about the London exhibition already (copy of the original broadcast by the BBC).
The concept is really great!
yes, that was a good programme - so was the one by the same art historian about the Caravaggio (which I'd just seen)
Family tradition says we are related to Turner (my maiden name) - I have very carefully never researched it to spoil the illusion!
