Can anyone find info on an artist called Giovachino Capone?

I havent tried really, other than grandson saying could be. Is yours watercolor or oil?

Marguerite St Clair is my grandmother and I have a portrait of her signed by G Capone. Perhaps the same portrait you mention? I am just now researching this artist trying to find out more about the portrait.

I’ve re-read your post and see you mentioned the portrait was life-sized. The portrait I have is a different one as it is not life sized, but it is signed by G Capone. I have lots of info on Marguerite St Clair -
Wondering why you are researching her? Her real name is Margot Scherer Nicolle. Scherer being her maiden name, Nicolle her married name. There is also a drawing of her by Rockwell Kent that I stumbled upon in an exhibition in Maine. It was quite a surprise to see as we were passing through, and just stopped to stretch our legs. A complete coincidence.
