Can anyone find info on an artist called Giovachino Capone?

I have a painting done in oils on a piece of board approx 9in x 4.5in.
It is signed G Capone.
On the back is written Giovachino (or Giovichino) Capone, Ravello (writing is not very clear so this is what I think it says). It also says Maiori near Sorrento Italy which I take to be the subject matter of the painting.
If anyone has any information on this painting I would be very grateful.

The all things seems to get even cooler if you consider the fact that my location is only 30 miles away from Manchester.

@melissa art,
Hi, it could be. He has painted some women portrait, mainly when he was in USA. Also One of the subjects he liked painting was a young fisherman standing on a rock, looking down to the sea and a fishing boat in the background. I personally owe a watercolour, however he has also painted this subject using oil on canvas. Most of the time the watercolour paintings were used as studies before painting the oils. If you could post a picture of the painting you have I should be able to recognise the style and advise.

@loritlu,
hi - i was wondering if the G. Capone named below could be your grandfather.

Angelo Della Mura *

WALLS OF ANGEL
Maiori (Salerno) 1867-1922
He studied under the guidance of his uncle G. Capone, derivandone interest in landscape painting. With picturesque views of the Amalfi coast, he painted portraits and genre scenes. He exhibited at the Promoter Neapolitan 1885-1897 (1885, My dowry), in Genoa in 1892, in Florence between 1892 and 1894 and in Turin from 1886 to 1896 (in 1892, Memories of the Amalfi Coast). In Rome he was present at the exhibitions of 1892 and 1893 (Fra Maiori and Amalfi, Arriving in Ravello, Amalfi and Memories From costumes Maiori-Amalfi).

@loritlu,
I have researched that Gaetano Capone painted a life-sized oil portrait of Flo Ziegfeld's "Palm Beach Girl", Marguerite St. Claire in 1917. According to newspaper announcements this painting hung in the foyer of the New Amsterdam Theatre in NYC. Am researching Marguerite [Margaret] St. Clair. Would your grandfather be the same artist? Would you have any information about this oil portrait?

@melissa art,
Hi Melissa, I have a G. R. Capone of a young woman in what appears to be an Italian or Spanish market. Were you able to identify any more on your painting?

@loritlu,
I just rediscovered a pencil on board nude signed G Capone and matching the signature on another of your grandfathers paintings. Do you know of any collectors or dealers or someone in your family who may be interested in purchasing?
