I was born and raised in Texas so I know that you aren't being entirely truthful, edgar, about their narrow mindedness. I get back there to visit every couple of years as my family are all still Texans.

I mention my Orange experience only because the article mentions Orange. I didn't mean it as a comment on Texans in general, especially since I am one.

I am a native Texan, but grew up in California. It was tough moving to south Texas at the age of 14. It took more than thirty years to become reconciled with it. Now I am content and don't mind being here. I learned in my travels that every state is both good and bad. You have to be open to the possibilities.
