There's an art museum on town that did a show on newspaper comics a few years ago. The theme was something like "The Yellow Kids and Beyond" and it was terrific. The sad thing is that the old comics, printed on newsprint, were never meant to last. It takes an effort to preserve them, and it's getting hard to find some of the old stuff...
