It has been my observation that some take delight in trying to identify the political leanings of folks on this site, and such attempts seem to often be flat wrong. This appears to be the case with plainoldme's comment regarding our good friend Rafick.

Too much foreign aid - by this I mean throwing too much money around. I believe this brings out feelings of inadequacy from people recieving that aid, rather than thankfulness, either because of the way we provide aid or simply because we can provide that aid. People who are alreay angry about their current lot in life only become angrier when their governments are given handouts in their name.

Why do terrorists hate America enough to give up their lives in order to deal the country such mortal blows? Of course it's not America the terrorists hate; it's American foreign policy.
