I feel that the controversy that caused Bernard Kerik to withdraw from the homeland security director job is unjust and is an invasion of privacy. He is a great man and has proven so countless times. Just because he has slight mishaps in the past doesn't mean he can't do a great job in protecting our country. Although, Joe Lieberman would be cool too.
I may be Kerik's biggest fan. However, you can not have someone who is responsible for immigration hiring illigal alliens.
He should have never accepted the nomination knowing this would be a disqualifying event.
The media "piling on" is reprehensible. It is no ones business who he slept with, etc...
He is a private citizen now.
