As we drove off from Columbia, I wanted to write a letter tomy daughter to tell you all that is on my mind.
I want to tell her how proud we are. Getting into Columbia is a real testament of what a great well-rounded student she is. Her academic, artistic, and social skills have truly blossomed in the last few years. Whether it is getting the highest grade in Calculus, completing your elegant fashion design, successfully selling her painted running shoes, or becoming one of the top orators in Model United Nations, she has become a talented and accomplished young woman. She should be as proud of yourself as we are.
I want to tell her this. But I don't know how to say that? I never wrote a letter to her....What should I do?
Just tell her you love her, wish her well and will miss her until she comes home. All the other 'accomplishments' are in the past.
