Gotta love the www.fark.com headline on this story:

'Canada agrees to missle defense, as long as they don't pay anything, it's not on their land, and they get a say in how it's run.'

Martin may have shot Canada in the foot on this. We'll have to wait and see what implications arise from this.

If any.

Bush is particularly disinterested in Canada. Someone will have to explain where we are again. The last time one of the U.S. prezzies tried to get tough (I think it was Clinton, coulda been earlier) the border governors started weeping and wailing.

It could become a matter of some importance, in which case they'll look at it in parliament, and given the current minority government status it could be a whole new government to deal with.
