Wow. I think I like him now. He's an even bigger mess than Trump. Someone is gonna find a horse head on their bed. Soon. Real soon. This **** is going to end hilariously. Razz

Anthony Scaramucci Called Me to Unload About White House Leakers, Reince Priebus, and Steve Bannon

Quote:
On Wednesday night, I received a phone call from Anthony Scaramucci, the new White House communications director. He wasn’t happy. Earlier in the night, I’d tweeted, citing a “senior White House official,” that Scaramucci was having dinner at the White House with President Trump, the First Lady, Sean Hannity, and the former Fox News executive Bill Shine. It was an interesting group, and raised some questions. Was Trump getting strategic advice from Hannity? Was he considering hiring Shine? But Scaramucci had his own question—for me.
“Who leaked that to you?” he asked. I said I couldn’t give him that information. He responded by threatening to fire the entire White House communications staff. “What I’m going to do is, I will eliminate everyone in the comms team and we’ll start over,” he said. I laughed, not sure if he really believed that such a threat would convince a journalist to reveal a source. He continued to press me and complain about the staff he’s inherited in his new job. “I ask these guys not to leak anything and they can’t help themselves,” he said. “You’re an American citizen, this is a major catastrophe for the American country. So I’m asking you as an American patriot to give me a sense of who leaked it.”

Aren't Scaramucci and Pacino working on a HBO production? I hope Pacino don't get all supportive of Trump, totally ruin my next Godfather marathon binge.

@revelette1,
That "easily dismissed" thing - that's your words, not mine. I never said or suggested he is, or will be "easily dismissed". I know there are a lot of gullible, stupid, foolish people - look who they elected president. All I'm saying is that he shouldnt get credit for being some genius tactician or public relations expert. Him and his boss are slimy scumbags. Some people are ******* stupid enough to go along with anything they do, granted. But that doesn't make them worthy of consideration as anything other that what they are - huckster scum.

@snood,
my overall view of these two (fther and son) are that they are vain of the type that thinks they have something to do with sunrise.
Look at Trumpties fale claims right in the open yet his base doesn't care whether hes a lying sack o hit or not.

This will change my mind about the electorates ability to choose.

@snood,
Not sure why we are even going around on this then, it seems we are in agreement.

My point with the "easily dismissed" was that Trump has been losing some of the people who voted for him as his approval numbers are less than those voted for him in office. Scaramucci might be able to get some of them back was my only point.

@snood,
The decision from Trump came after Kelly made his position of being in charge clear.

Quote:
WASHINGTON — President Trump has decided to remove Anthony Scaramucci from his position as communications director, three people close to the decision said Monday, relieving him just days after Mr. Scaramucci unloaded a crude verbal tirade against other senior members of the president’s senior staff.

Mr. Scaramucci’s abrupt removal came just 10 days after the wealthy New York financier was brought on to the West Wing staff, a move that convulsed an already chaotic White House and led to the departures of Sean Spicer, the former press secretary, and Reince Priebus, the president’s first chief of staff.

The decision to remove Mr. Scaramucci, who had boasted about reporting directly to the president not the chief of staff, John F. Kelly, came at Mr. Kelly’s request, the people said. Mr. Kelly made clear to members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he is in charge.

It was not clear whether Mr. Scaramucci will remain employed at the White House in another position or will leave altogether.

NYT

Did the BBC say he resigned? I thought he was removed from position but they are not sure if he is removed from the WH altogether. (?)

about half the reports say fired. the others say resigned.

some say Kelly did it. others say #45.

Given that Kushner was behind Scarmucci coming in, this is going to get even more interesting.

Preince and Spicer out because Scarmucci in. Scaramucci out because Kelly in.

The Bannon/Kushner battle continues.

Seems like every position in this administration comes with a desk and an ejection seat.

@revelette1,
Really have to appreciate this part here:

Quote:
In a Twitter message just before 5:30 on Monday morning, just hours before the announcement about Mr. Scaramucci, Mr. Trump insisted that there has been “No WH chaos!”

Because nothing says "no White House chaos" like firing your fourth Communications Director in six months.....

he was escorted off the grounds

Sarah H. S. has declined to comment whether there would be any other role in govt for Scaramucci.

__

it took Gen Kelly to point out to people that Scarmucci's comments were inappropriate. Rolling Eyes

@ehBeth,
I confess, I didn't really pay too much attention to him, just watched the youtube on this thread of him. I've been wrapped up in the Health Care vote (self interest). In any event, it seems to be conflicting reporting. I'll look up where he was escorted off the grounds.
