We would greatly appreciate help from knowledgeable Latin speakers with a translation of a special phrase, it will be used for very personal purposes and it is very important for us to find an accurate translation:
"One with a free spirit is not to be caged" (take away his freedom)
Other (similar) options with the same point but in different words, if it is helpful:
"It's impossible to take freedom from a free spirit"
"A free mind can't lose freedom"
"One cannot restrain/restrict/isolate/seal a free mind/spirit"
Also, the original phrase in Russian:
"Вольного духом свободы не лишить"
@Sarabi,
I am not a Latin speaker, but here is how I would translate it.
Quo anima libera est non in cavea ponendum est.
@George,
Thank you very much George!
@Sarabi,
Please feel free to suggest a version of your own if you can or a comment, I would really appreciate any help with this
