Good morning WA2K folks.

edgar, I know that one by Paul Anka. Great goodnight song.

Hey, Miss squirell, Love those hang drums and the tones are captivating. Perfect song for me as I hardly slept at all last evening.

Today is Robin Trower's birthday, and he was a founding member of Procol Harum, so how about a couple of songs for the early morning.

First, A Whiter Shade of Pale

Now Seven Moons, y'all.

@dyslexia,
Thanks, cowboy, for the Tom Petty song. Free Fallin' reminds me that nothing is free, not even a fall.

Today is Keely Smith's birthday, so here is one by her, y'all.

I love Keely Smith. And Free Fallin is in my opinion Tom Petty at his best.

@edgarblythe,
thanks again, edgar, for listening and watching our contributors here. Never heard el Watusi, but I love the memory of hebba's avatar. Ray Baretto's song reminds me of "There is a Rose in Spanish Harlem." Need to check that out.

Today is Mickey Gilley's birthday, so here is a great song in tribute to Urban Cowboy.

@Rockhead,
Fabulous Reggae by Bob Marley. Love that guy, Rockymoose.

A couple of songs for the afternoon, y'all.

First, one to match Rockhead' and Bob's reggae.

LOve Mickey and Bob. Johnny Nash is a local fellow.

Ben E King wrote Spanish Harlem at the time he separated from the Drifters. He tried hard to give them the song, but they rejected it. So he made the record himself.

Here is a song that was popular near the same time as Spanish Harlem.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, you always have great info for us here on our cyber radio station. Didn't know that Ben King was a part of the Drifters. I know that one by Ivory Joe, buddy. Also noticed that Cat Man Strothers did it as well.

Really enjoyed Since I Met You Baby. Thanks, Texas.

I don't know this man, but today is his birthday. This contains not only beautiful and calming music, but sage advice as well.
