I have always liked Ed Ames and his brother. I preferred him as a singer, since I only saw a few Daniel Boone episodes.

I learned of Nikola Tesla just recently when I was searching for the rock group Tesla.

Urs, someone gave Bud a book about Tesla. Couldn't get through the first half. That's why that video was so good. My oldest sister went to college with John Forbes Nash. She never talked about him.

edgar, Don't know Roger McGuinn, buddy, but I like those two songs. Pretty Boy Floyd was depicted in O Brother Where Art Thou, methinks.

dys, Don't you remember, I'll Remember April? Razz

Great jazz duo, but I never heard of them.

@Letty,
Roger McGuinn was leader of the Byrds, who did Turn Turn Turn, among many others.

@edgarblythe,
Thank God for surge protectors, y'all. Just had a cloud burst and forked lightning.

edgar, I did not know the individual members of The Byrds. Thanks.

Here's one by Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan that is really great.

Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

Wow, edgar. I really like that Leonard Cohen song. You were Pancho? Hey, he was the outlaw, buddy. I wasn't certain what that song meant, so I checked it out and found this:

It is about two brothers, pancho being the outlaw and lefty being the good son. Isn't that a wonderful explanation? Rolling Eyes

Welcome back, mooseman. Yep, Courtney is like most celebs. They feel used up and must keep that celebrity skin at whatever cost.

Another tragedy about Kurt Cobain. Why is it that the media, etc. always use post hoc reasoning. They did it for Elvis and Michael; one would assume they would help BEFORE tragedy occurs.

Weird, y'all, Goggle is wishing Tesla a happy birthday today. More of the same?

Hope that I haven't missed anyone here on our cyber radio.

Speaking of birthdays, today is Arlo Guthrie's so I chose this great song by a trio. Love it, and sang it when I was a kid performing in a trio.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, Never heard Ian Whitcomb, but I was glad to hear that he doesn't always sound that "girlish". Thanks for the introduction, buddy.

News from NASA:

The Endeavor launch may be delayed tomorrow because of the weather.

@urs53,
The weekend is not quite here yet in Massachusetts, alas.
We've got so many out on vacation at the Widget Factory that you could take
archery practice in the aisle.

Urs, that sounds like a great group. Couldn't find out one thing about them one the web, however. You and your Swede have a great time.

er George. Wouldn't your archer have to be rather small so that those of you who are working could escape the slings and arrows?

More synchronicity as today is Suzanne Vega's birthday, and look where she performed this one, folks.

Well, y'all, I intend to keep our cyber station on the air. I like this guy and always have, and today is his birthday. So long ago, he made a movie with Ingrid Bergman about passing her off as the Tsars' lost Anastasia. It worked, but love got in the way. Also found out that Pat Boone sang the song from the movie.

My Ian Whitcomb song was the one that put him in the public eye, and the only one of his I heard on radio. Until now, I had never heard the one you played.

Suzanne Vega is new to me - Very good.

I too like Yul, and of course I love that song by Pat.

Here is Pat again doing a medley of some of his biggest hits.
