edgar, never heard that one by Ricky. Thanks, buddy. As you know, I really like that kid

Urs, that was a stunning video. It almost makes a rainy day appealing. Welcome back and thanks. We had rain here as well, but it was very welcome. You just reminded me of Strauss' Der Fledermaus, but will do that one later.

Today is Kevin Bacon's birthday, and this is a funny dancing song from one of his movies, y'all.

equipment has been a bit iffy this evening.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, I'm going to dedicate this one to JPB because I told her about the encounter that I had with a woman from South America while in the super market. She wasn't as communicative as the kids that I chat with, but I sang a verse or two of this one to her anyway.

@edgarblythe,
Oops, edgar, You missed South America Take it Away. Hope JPB doesn't.

Love In The Misty Moonlight and the video was lovely.

Kevin Bacon also starred in The Stir of Echoes, and it was scary, but had a great ending.

Well, in order to be calm and feel content, here is a great water song, y'all.

Will be back later with my goodnight song.

@JPB,
Good moring, WA2K folks.

JPB that lovely Hispanic song "Without You" is so pleasant to hear. It's the sound of the Romance languages that is wonderful. Thanks, Chicago.

Two songs for this morning, folks. First, one for our Urs.

And now, y'all, one from Granada

@urs53,
Urs, that was fantastic. I need to listen to some of Garth's music. It's been a while. Thanks for the laugh, gal.

Well, it's Tom Hanks' birthday, so here is a medley dedicated to him. Frankly, y'all, about the only movie I truly enjoyed by him was Philadelphia, but Forest Gump was funny in spots.

I thought Cast Away was boring.

This truly made me cry, folks.

Today is Nikola Tesla's birthday.

We spoke of energy on Seaglass and Andrew's ghost, and it now makes more sense to me.

@TTH,
TTH, Tesla was the only thing that made sense to me in science, and Fibonacci, the only thing that made math more understandable.

Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote this.

CHAMBERED NAUTILUS

This is the ship of pearl, which, poets feign,
Sails the unshadowed main,--
The venturous bark that flings
On the sweet summer wind its purpled wings
In gulfs enchanted, where the Siren sings,
And coral reefs lie bare,
Where the cold sea-maids rise to sun their streaming hair.

Its webs of living gauze no more unfurl;
Wrecked is the ship of pearl!
And every chambered cell,
Where its dim dreaming life was wont to dwell,
As the frail tenant shaped his growing shell,
Before thee lies revealed,--
Its irised ceiling rent, its sunless crypt unsealed!

Year after year beheld the silent toil
That spread his lustrous coil;
Still, as the spiral grew,
He left the past year's dwelling for the new,
Stole with soft step its shining archway through,
Built up its idle door,
Stretched in his last-found home, and knew the old no more.

Thanks for the heavenly message brought by thee,
Child of the wandering sea,
Cast from her lap, forlorn!
From thy dead lips a clearer note is born
Than ever Triton blew from wreathed horn;
While on mine ear it rings,
Through the deep caves of thought I hear a voice that sings:--

Build thee more stately mansions, O my soul,
As the swift seasons roll!
Leave thy low-vaulted past!
Let each new temple, nobler than the last,
Shut thee from heaven with a dome more vast,
Till thou at length art free,
Leaving thine outgrown shell by life's unresting sea!

edgar, hope you and dys don't hate this guy. It's his birthday. (That Tesla tribute is really great, but sad. Reminds me of John Forbes Nash)

Let's listen, y'all.
