Hey, dys, Santana is a favorite of mine and I liked that song. Also love the one by Paul Simon and the Zimbabwe bunch. Thanks, cowboy.

Brit, I had no idea that Bacharach wrote Close to You nor that Rick sang it. Only heard it by The Carpenters. Rick sang rather well.

My word, edgar I cannot believe that Elvis won nothing. Thanks for that bit of trivia, and Fats would know about the weather, methinks. Hope he's wrong this time, Texas.

Izzie, Welcome back. Frankly, I was really concerned about you, hun. Didn't know that James Brown did Nature Boy, but it's the perfect song for your breath taking flowers from the garden of Eden.

Until I have a chance to explore further, here is a song dedicated to your fleurs.

And, with apologies to Walt Whitman, a song of myself. My daughter told me all sorts of flattering things said by my students that she had met.

dys, that was a song that brings back memories as well. Sad about Gram Parsons having died at 26.

edgar, so glad that you get to spend time with your son.

Here's a great song, folks.

Later I shall be back with my goodnight song. I need something soothing.

@Izzie,
Welcome back, Izzie. So glad that you went out and had fun. That band was great, Miss Brit. (switches back to AM radio)

Today is Roberto Carlos' birthday. I don't know the man, but I like him.

@Letty,
I've tried to post embedded or URL video players, just now from the Colbert Report on gay marriage and it doesn't work. How are y'all here posting the player? I know it's also being done on "What are you listening to," Craven's long-running thread.

@Barry The Mod,
Hard to beat Brubeck but IMHO, the king of modern jazz pianists was Bill Evans, here with the trio "The Days of Wine and Roses:"
