JPB, I can be uptight and nervous and listen to any kind of water music and any by Debussy and feel calm and laid back.

Damn, edgar. I hope the rain doesn't get that bird, but more importantly, rain on a stove can be dangerous and we don't want it to get you. Loved that Raindrops song, buddy.

I was looking for Johnny Mercer's Personality and discovered something new. To listen, you must scroll down to that tiny like box at the end, but it works.

I bookmarked that site, letty, to explore it more. I concentrated on the Bobby Darin section, this time around.

@edgarblythe,
Hey, edgar. Never heard Slim Harpo, but I can see why you would be playing him at this point. If you can, keep us up to date on the weather there.

I knew that I knew Johnny Paycheck and this is why. I love this song, and maybe many folks out there feel this way but can't afford to follow Johnny's ultimatum.

Shearing's chords on the piano are unmatched. I think "Cuban Love Song" might be my favorite cut from all the latin albums.

Many is the time I have listened to Johnny Paycheck's song and daydreamed -
That Slim Harpo video was poor in quality. That record actually sounds much better than that.

The rain has ended for now, but another round is forecast for tomorrow.

Well, I already broke open a split of champagne which always happens when I put on Shearing so anything will now look and sound good.

Hope you're not in for forty days and forty nights of the stuff, edgar. Bobby Vinton said it right.

Well, Mr. Wizard, how about a tiny glass for me.

Will you settle for some Chopin?

My goodnight classic.

@edgarblythe,
Great jazz song, edgar. Love Herbie Hancock and Herbie Mann. Thanks, buddy, and I hope the weather is better for you today.

Here are a couple of songs, folks. First a fierce one then a soothing one. I am thinking that these may make up the twosome that is prevalent in our world.

Hey, Mr. Wizard. Love that one by Diana and Billy Joel did a great job with that one as well. Thanks, buddy.

Hey, Brit. Susan Boyle has made quite a name for herself in the vocal industry. I had forgotten that song by Julie, and as usual Susan belts it out.

Today is Rick Moranis' birthday. Remember him? Here's a memory, folks.

I watched Susan Boyle on TV this morning, with the same song as in Barry's video. When she makes a debut CD, I plan to get a copy. Paul Simon's Diamonds on her shoes ranks among the songs I go back to over and over. The Jethro Tull Diana Krall, always worth a listen.

Tom Waits - always a creative soul. I save the Native American Indian for last, so I can listen as I browse.
