My good night song. A bit of nostalgia. I was about 14 or 15 when this hit the airwaves.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

edgar, don't know that George Hamilton, but it seems to me that I recall another who did "Oklahoma Hills". Found this one by Johnny and Flip.

JPB, I know all those cartoons as well. Back later to do Casper, folks.

@edgarblythe,
Well, edgar, that one I know. Perhaps I got the IV mixed up with someone else. Wouldn't be the first time, y'all. Speaking of which, I forgot to include yitwail in the animal brigade. Hope he's all right. He's both a turtle and a whale.

My word, the super markets have halloween stuff on display already. Next will be Christmas. Rolling Eyes

Here's Casper, folks.

Good afternoon.

Now cut that out, Letty. Time is flying fast enough as it is. Laughing

Some of today's birthday notables:

Deborah Kerr (1921-2007); Truman Capote (1924-1984); Angie Dickinson (1931); Johnny Mathis (1935); Jack Wild (1952-2006) and Eric Stoltz (1961)

@Letty,
Good afternoon, Miss Letty and your listeners.

I'm smiling big after watching that episode of Casper, ML. It reminded me of Disney's Fox and Hound which came much later.

As long as I'm smiling I thought I'd play my favorite Johnny Mathis song

@JPB,
JPB, that was lovely. Never heard that one by Johnny, but I did recognize Rozzano Brazzi. Did not know that he also did South Pacific.

Love teasing Reyn on his Global Disclaimer and humor thread, so here is one by Elvis Costello. Love this song, folks.

Eagles doing one of theirbetter songs. New Kid in Town.

About 32 years ago, my first wife's niece came to spend a month living with us. She had this obsession with the Eagles song about Hotel California, so that she wrote the lyrics on every scrap of paper she could get her hands on. I was tolerant, until she started taking my writing projects and writing all over them. She signed the lyric each time, with her own name, as if she had written the song herself. To this day, I will not listen to Hotel California.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, it is funny how certain songs are connected with ghosts of the past. It is difficult for me to listen to Old Shep and Darling Nelly Grey. I guess it depends on the mood that we are in.

That's a great one by The Eagles, Texas. Never heard it, but it's different and not in their usual style. (alway think of Dutchy when I hear The Eagles)

Today is Angie Dickinson's birthday, so here is a tribute to her

On Roberta's thread, there is a cute youtube presentation of Bobby Darin singing beyond the sea. It opens with Abraham Lincoln's lips moving to the song.

@edgarblythe,
edgar, sorry. I couldn't locate your Bobby Darin parody. Perhaps it is because I don't have flash Player.

Well, time for me to say goodnight, folks. Since today is Marilyn McCoo's birthday, how about this one as a time to retire song.

@edgarblythe,
Good morning, WA2K radio audience.

edgar, I recall that song. Kinda scary, ain't it.

Oops, Raggedy, I did miss your montage. I was busy trying to check out the state of my finances and got carried away. This one is for you, and it's from the movie, "From Here to Eternity." I guess we all remember that beach scene with Deborah, right? Razz

@Letty,
I bought From Here to Eternity last year, because I had only seen bits and pieces of it. A much better film than Pearl Harbor.

The weather is pleasantly in the 50s this AM. Pretty nice.
