~ QUOTE OF THE DAY ~.~ March 26, 2003

Winston Churchill said, "Laugh a little and teach your men to laugh … If you can't smile, grin. If you can't grin keep out of the way until you can."
Churchill definitely understood the drain of a dull day. I love his admonition. I believe it is one with which God would agree. People need to laugh. Laughter is a gift from heaven, an instant vacation, and some very good medicine for those of us caught up in the serious game of life. So enjoy the gift, take the vacation; swallow the medicine! How? Read the comics, watch a comedy or enjoy the presence of a really funny friend. Besides, if anyone has reason to laugh, it is the believer. God loves us, our future is certain, and he is totally in control. So this weekend, lighten up and laugh!

"A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength."

(Proverbs 17:22 NLT)

This one is very very humorous, something
that I NEED on a daily basis - laughter is SO
good for the soul. Almost as good as baking
homemade bread.
George Bernard Shaw is responsible for this;
"If you can't get rid of the skeleton in your
closet, you'd best teach it to dance." :wink:

"All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be the blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king."

I believe.....

"I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge, that
myth is more potent that history. I believe that dreams are
more powerful than facts, that hope always triumphs over
experience, that laughter is the only cure for grief. And I
believe that love is stronger than death."

~ QUOTE OF THE DAY ~.~ April 1, 2003

"So each of us must seek, so each one of us must dance through life, must have tremendous ecstasies, great sorrows and pains and great pleasures; and the greater and stronger they are, the more quickly shall we arrive at that absolute oneness with life."

"Too many times we stand aside
And let the waters slip away
'Til what we put off 'til tomorrow
Has now become today
So don't you sit upon the shoreline
And say you're satisfied
Choose to chance the rapids
And dare to dance the tide..."
