Why don't you just all come back to mine?

(I've got a spare and a blow-up)

...and of course Mr Smorg's shed for any overflow...it's got carpet, a fan heater and lots of mags...a regular four star shed (it must be, Mr S seems to spend a lot of time in there)

Boxing Monthly (or weekly or something like that)

<smorgs sighs and looks off into the distant past>

That's how I met Mr S...he used to come in a newsagents that I was helping out in, to buy his boxing mag...then he started hovering by the sellotape...and the rest, as they say, is histoire!

Another bloke used to come in and pick up his saved copy of 'Carp Talk':

Man: "has my Carp Talk come in?"

gorgeous serving girl on till: "yes it has, but tell me, what do they say?"

Man: "Who?"

gorgeous girl on till: "the Carp - what do they say"

man: "you think your funny don't ya"

Since you mentioned tea, does it also include scones with butter and jam?

You really should ask for double cream as well, c.i.!

Of course...but here's a little mancunian test for you:

Do you say scone (as in home)

or scone (as in gone)

think very carefully before you answer, it means the difference between:

"remember when we got that invite to smorgs, and we threw it away with our pronunciation of scone...if only"

or

"remember that orgy of hedonistic pleasure at smorgs gaff (Xanadu), that spring weekend in 05"

Of course it's sconnnn. Mind you down yer in Debben we call they splits.
Clotted cream is the only accompaniment with some homemade jam.

C.I.

Hello my friend!

I haven't been around A2K much lately so I just stumbled on this thread. I bookmarked it so i could come back and read more details later.

Not sure if I could make a May Europe trip but once i know more particulars I'll be able to figure out if i can do it.

I guess that puts me in a 'possible' or 'interested' category.
