smorgs, Did you know we are having a Europe Gathering in London and Lippstatd from April 30 to May 9? You and all the others are welcome to join us at ye olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street on May 1 about noonish I think. There's a special forum on the Europe Gathering. Please look for it and join in.
c.i.

I have been sent here by the great cicerone!

So what's happnin'?

Any chance of a meeting ooop north?

I will try my very best to come on May 1st (sure there's no demos planned for May day?) I could combine it with my regular visit to my sisters in Bath.

I would love to meet everyone

How are you travelling Mctag?

I may fly to my sisters (new Air SouthWest Man to Bristol £35.00) then I could 'train' it london.

Time before last my sister booked me into a TEMPERANCE hotel in Bath without realising - no fags or booze! Crying or Very sad

so (just because i'm anal) can we put together list of who is showing up both London and Lippstadt?

As far as I know, it's Diane, c.i., you and I who are at both meetings (all the four with comfirmed hotel, flight and "taxi" bookings at, from and to both places  ).

Hi Smorgs. We usually drive down to my brother's the day before. They live in Enfield, not far from the North Circular. Then I go in on the Piccadilly Line.

Temperance hotel? I didn't know there were any of those left!

As a matter of fact, which may be of some interest to thread members, I have arranged to go and see Walter and Mrs Walter for a few days. I'm flying over a week today.
Looking forward to it!

And most probably Steve (as 41oo) [and Mrs. Steve] are joining both meetings (London 99%, Lippstadt 95%)), too.

Prince, you've been to Honkers, a little bird told me, and you didn't let me know, so you didn't get to meet my cousin's daughter, who has quite a few gay Aussie men friends there.
I me a couple of them in a Thai restaurant when I was there.
Anyway despite that I hope you had a good time.

This is becoming an incredible group of a2kers! It would be nice if there was some way of arranging smaller meetings so that we can really talk with each other, even for 10 minutes. I know it's impossible, and I getting to meet this many a2kers is heaven, but I am a little hard of hearing and I sort of back off in large groups. OK, I'm being neurotic, shut me up!

Today I went to the post office to renew my passport which had expired and which I lost during my move to ABQ. There I was with birth certificate when I was told by the very nice man that those particular birth certificate from California are not being accepted. For pity's sake!! What's up here? I'm a 62 year old woman born during the second world war in California. Are those of us who were given this particular sort of birth certificate considered a generation of suspicious characters? Oh God, yes, I forgot about the 60's!

Well, God knows I look threatening, just to warn those of you who haven't met me. Sigh.

At least he took a decent passport photo of me, a first...

That's interesting. If your's wasn't, maybe mine won't be, as we were born in CA around the same time. Harrumpth!! They're letting you renew because you've had a passport before? or, you have to be re-born?

Reborn? I wanna know how to do that! LOL If Diane had a passport before, she shouldn't have that much difficulty getting another one.

BTW, Diane, my hearing is down to a few decibels too, so we'll talk to each other. LOL

The guy at the post office said he would start the process with my current birth certificate while I apply for a new one. He gave me a list of all the states and the numbers to call. BTW osso, you look like a pretty tough character too--maybe they are keeping an eye on us. God knows, we might start singing Beatles songs.

LOL, c.i. Maybe it's time to learn sign language.

Well, at least you are the only one I'm aware of, who found the most ideal way doing this: you have now meetings with another A2K'er on a daily basis Laughing

(My car isn't that loud at all: you'll have more than 10 mins to talk to me on the way from Amsterdam to Lippstadt  )
