So the "timeline" goes like this:
1. Trump reads **** in the newspaper that only Comey could have known. This was privileged, confidential information.
2. Trump tweets that if Comey is going to leak, he better be careful about lying, because there could be tapes.
3.Skip May 16
4. At the congressional hearing, Comey said he ONLY leaked BECAUSE of Trump's tweet, when, in fact, he was leaking before the tweet was ever published.
Comey's incredulous claim that it only "occured to him" (in the middle of the night, no less) that "there could be tapes" 2 or 3 days AFTER Trump told him there could be tapes is ridiculous on it's face. It "occurred" to him the instant he read Trump's tweet, if not sooner.
Also curious is that the contents of his FIRST private meeting with Trump, in JANUARY, was published the very next day.
